When is the last time you met somebody who has polio or smallpox? Never? Good. That is because vaccines save lives.
Vaccines work by helping your body’s immune system fight against dangerous infections.
For the past 25+ years, some people have become worried about giving their kids vaccines. There is a lot of false and misleading information about vaccine safety. However, vaccines have saved the lives of hundreds of millions of people worldwide for decades. Thanks to vaccines, smallpox is gone from the Earth!
Here are some facts about vaccines:
- Fact: Vaccines do not cause autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Fact: Vaccines protect us from harmful and deadly diseases, such as polio, smallpox, and the measles.
- Fact: Vaccines do not contain dangerous, harmful, or mind-controlling substances or devices.
